Each morning if the weather is nice, which it has been
lately, Kristine, Blake, and I sit outside for morning
coffee.
In Norway, people commonly have their mailboxes in
one general area for the post delivery person to easily
deliver mail. These are the mailboxes from the homes
in our neighborhood. Our mailbox is 3rd from the left
on the top row. It's a minute walk from our apartment.
Blake taking a much deserved nap after a busy day.
Fishing on the pier at Amdahl farm.
Blake sits next to me as I fish. He's a good fishing
partner. He will sit next to me the entire time no
matter how long I fish.
Anna (Kristine's sister) by the sheep. She would often
distract them while Blake walked past. To get to the
beach at Amdahl we often needed to past through
areas where sheep were being kept.
A look at the farm from the guest house.
Blake, Anna, and I getting ready to hike Mount Hest
(the mountain behind the farm).
The trail leading up Mount Hest.
A view from the near top of Hest.
For this hike (Hest), we allowed Blake to be off leash.
As we got closer to the top we put him on leash.

Blake and I at the top!
Later on we went Mackerel fishing. They often swim
in large schools. Kristine's dad took us trolling for
mackerel. In Norway they fish with these plastic
handles and let out line with multiple hooks on them
in hope of catching many fish at once.
Anna ready for mackerel fishing.
Waiting for everyone to get organized before fishing...
Bjørn putting proper bait on the lines.
Bjørn and I riding out to fish.
Anna getting ready to hike Preikestolen (literally
translated to The Preachers Pulpit). This is a large
tourist attraction in Norway. The mountain ranges
along the Lysefjord.
Kristine's mother Sølvi.
Blake and I heading up the mountain.
Many people trying to reach Preikestolen.
It takes approximately 2 hours to hike up to
Preikestolen.
Blake is getting the hang of hiking up and down rock.
It got so crowded with people that we
needed to wait in place for a few minutes
at a time.
Many fresh water lakes/ponds/creeks along
the way. Blake took advantage of the fresh
water.

Blake and I close to the top, over looking the Lysefjord.
The cliff overlooking the Lysefjord just
before we reached the top.
This is a good look at the preachers pulpit
rock. Thousands of years ago, the glaciers
formed the side of the mountain to a flat
surface overlooking the Lysefjord.
Kristine's grandmother and parents.
Lysefjord. Tourists often ride over this beautiful area
in a helicopter and some take a large boat through the
fjord.
